Welcome to Spa

Situated midway between Tralee and Fenit on the R558, Spa or The Spa is a small village with a certain charm.

The actual village would have a small population, but there is a big enough area of houses and farms laying out to the North which would be part of the Townland.

As you enter Spa you have wonderful views of Tralee Bay to the South and the Slieve Mish mountains rising up to dominate the skyline above the Bay.

For a small village, Spa has a great choice of places to eat and drink with one pub in the village. About 30 metres to the left stands a seafood restaurant that also sells fresh fish and seafood to takeaway. A couple of miles further on is another pub/restaurant in the townland of Kilfenora to the left as you head towards Fenit.

Accommodation is available in the area with many local bed and breakfast houses.

The North Kerry Way passes through Spa coming in from the Blenneville direction and crossing the road and village and heading Northerly up the hill with the pub to your right.

The local GAA football team Churchill also play in Spa with their pitch being in the centre of the village just past the sea food restaurant.

Close by to Spa you have also the Tralee Golf Club which is about 2-3 miles away and the historic Barrow harbour which was once the main supply line for North Kerry from foreign lands by ship.
