Welcome to West Kerry

Walking in West Kerry

The Dingle Peninsula is a kind of paradise for walkers. There are lots of lanes and pathways away from traffic where you can walk for hours, along cliffs, up and down mountains and hills, on beaches and near the sea.
Linear walks
There are two way-marked walking routes, the Dingle Way/Slí Chorca Dhuibhne and Cosán na Naomh/Pilgrims' Route.
The Dingle Way – Slí Chorca Dhuibhne
This is a 153km circular walking trail. The walk begins and ends in Tralee, taking in most of the towns and villages of the peninsula and featuring hill walking and coastal paths.

Detailed maps of the various sections of the way can be downloaded from here:
The Pilgrims Route - Cosán na Naomh covers some 18 km (11 mi.) and connects many of the early Christian sites for which the Dingle Peninsula is renowned.
