Welcome to Listry

Faha and Listry are two small residential settlements within a mile of one another. Together they function as on community. The majority of the communities’ facilities are located in Faha. The village has a school, GAA pitch, community center, local shop and post office. Their church is in Listry.

When visiting this quaint village a visit to Faha Court Bar & Restaurant is a must, situated in the stunning grounds of  the Killarney Country Club holiday village. The 70 seat restaurant offers an elegant Sunday lunch, with views of the Gap of Dunloe. The estate has beautifully designed grounds which slot in perfectly with the surrounding scenery. The Killarney Country club  has self catering rooms if you wish to stay a while longer.

During the summer months Woodlands equestrian centre and Pony Tales Stables both in Faha  offer visitors horse riding lessons and trekking. Listry is famous for its love of GAA and  football has been  played here since the foundation of the GAA. It is a single sport football club.  The club plays in Division 4 of the county league and in East Kerry Leagues and Championships.

The historic Kerry Woollen Mills is on the Gweestin river that flows through Listry. Kerry Woollen Mills is one of the last surviving traditional woollen mills still manufacturing in Kerry. This 17th century mill has been creating fabrics and yarn for over 300 years.
