Dromid is home to a small and lively community which is active in all areas of life. Being in the very heart of a 'Gaeltacht' (a region that promotes the native Irish language), you will hear the ancient Gaelic language spoken here and get a real sense of the timeless Irish traditional culture and landscape. Dromid is famous for the Dromid Pearses (Piarsaigh na Dromoda) GAA Football Club which is regular trophy winner. This area is also noted for its excellent fishing which attracts anglers from around the world to fish the renowned Inny River for Salmon and Trout.
