Welcome to Tarbert

The Ferry Hostel

In December 1782 Sir Edward Leslie advertised the letting fo a 'New Inn in the market town of Tarbert.....on the high road from Limerick to Tralee and Killarney'. William Gallagher leased the three storey building and he and his family traded successfully for the next one hundred years as the  Leslie Arms Hotel.  The renowned English novelist, Thackeray commented on its hospitality in 1842 and over 170 years later it still provides accommodation to suit the visitor.
