Interesting Facts about Duagh

1. In 1935, an Ogham Stone was found in Derk bog, Duagh.

2. In 1953, a small bronze spearhead from the Bronze Age was found in Knocknacheragh, Duagh.

3. The first shot at the Battle of Waterloo, June 6th 1814 was fired by Major General John Gerald Fitzmaurice who was born at Knockavallig House, Duagh.
