The Ring of Kerry, An Mhór Chuaird in Irish is arguably Ireland's most famous scenic drive. The route around the Iveragh Peninsula covers almost 180 km of cliffs, mountain passes, ancient oak woodlands and stunning vistas, each more breathtaking than the last. These include Dingle Bay from Mountain Stage, Derrynane from Coomakista Pass and the Lakes of Killarney from Ladie's view. Make sure to take your time to see the Ring of Kerry - there is a wealth to be discovered. You will visit Killorglin, Glenbeigh, Cahirciveen, Waterville, Caherdaniel, Sneem, Kenmare and Killarney. If you only see those, you will have missed Cromane, Rossbeigh, Kells, Valentia, Portmagee, Ballinskelligs, the Black Valley and the Gap of Dunloe! And you can't miss the Bog Village, Staigue Fort, Cahirciveen Cathedral, Derrynane House, the Skelligs (or at the very least, the Skellig Experience interpretive centre), Torc Waterfall, Muckross House and Ross Castle. Maybe you should spend another day.. or two...
